The single most iconic thing to do in Dubrovnik: a 1,940-metre circuit above the Old Town with terracotta rooftops on one side and the open Adriatic on the other, taking 1.5–2 hours. Go at opening or late afternoon — midday summer heat and cruise crowds are the two recurring complaints, and there is almost no shade.
