A museum of Dalmatian folk culture — costumes, jewelry, lacework and woodcarving — set inside the most exclusive real estate in Split: the former private apartments of Diocletian himself, including the emperor’s dining hall with its original ceiling. The rooftop terrace, with views across the palace rooftops to the sea, is worth the small entry fee on its own. Exhibits are in Croatian and English; allow about an hour.
