The seat of the Republic of Ragusa’s elected rector, now housing the Cultural History Museum — portraits, coats of arms, period furniture and the famous staircase in an arcaded palace courtyard. It’s the most atmospheric building in the Old Town after the walls. Honest caveat: reviews praise the building but call the collection thin and uneven — with the Dubrovnik Pass it’s a no-brainer stop; at €15 standalone, visitors say the collection doesn’t quite fill the rooms.
